STANTON TOWER

Stanton Tower involved the adaptive reuse of the Eastern Presbyterian Church on Capitol Hill into luxury private residences. The Romanesque Revival church, built in 1891, was completely restored, including repairing plaster, fully restoring the façade, and replacing the historic cornices. The structure’s modernization features Potomac bluestone and limestone trim with restored slate and tin roofs, upgraded utilities, re-leaded stained-glass windows, private elevators, and the 130-foot bell tower, once referred to as “the lighthouse on the hill.” This sustainable project is designed to for LEED Silver Certification.
